The New York-based National Television Academy has named the winners of its Advanced Media Technology Emmy Awards. The awards were presented Thursday at the National Television Academy’s annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards Ceremony at the Bristol-Meyers Squibb headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. (Note: the National Television Academy is one of two organizations behind the US television industry’s annual Emmy Awards–the other is the Los Angeles-based Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which also gives out Emmy Awards for interactive television; the latter organization’s ITV Emmys are for creative achievement while the National Television Academy’s Emmys are technology-focused.)
The Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for the Enhancement of Original Television Content went to PGATour.com for TourCast.
The Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for the Non-Synchronous Enhancement of Original Television Content went to EAT.TV and Scripps Networks for ImageGuide/www.living.com (note: see [itvt]’s recent article on ImageGuide and http://www.living.com in Issue 6.28 Part 3).
The Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for the Creation of
Non-Traditional Programs or Platforms went to Digeo for Moxi Media Center: New Features for 2005.
